N. Roadmap for Teaching and Research for next five years
ICT integration and the subsequent global evolution of educational approaches have opened up new vistas for innovative learning environment. Given that I am familiar with the majority of digital learning tools, I would put more emphasis on creating strength based individualised and learner-centred environment with greater flexibility and accessibility to the students to provide them with opportunities to explore, create, and learn about the real world. Collaborative learning, mixed and flipped learning, project and team-based learning would all receive more attention to improve students' creativity, analytical thinking skills, 21 century skills and problem-solving skills. Quizzes, group discussions, brainstorming, and other techniques would also become standard procedures.
I will participate more in training programmes on pedagogy and engage to develop and adapt innovative skills/strategies/tools/ICTs in my teaching approaches to make teaching-learning environment more innovative.
I shall guide research scholars under my supervision on crucial topics having significant relevance to the present socio-educational context and future implications.
I will work continuously in preparation and publication of quality research papers having socio-educational significance in CARE, Scopus, WoS listed journals.
I have submitted a major research proposal on reading comprehension in relation to cognitive abilities of students, involving a comparison between online and offline learning mode to ICSSR in 2023. Also submitted another minor research proposal to ICSSR on Open Education Resources (OER) in 2023. I am confident that I would be selected to award the financial assistance to conduct the research studies on such crucial educational issues highly relevant to present scenario..
I also have a plan to develop MOOCs and E-learning Contents, if get opportunity. I shall perform all kinds of responsibilities to be entrusted upon me by my employer with sincerity, enthusiasm and utmost dedication.
O. Vision for the next five years.
As NEP 2020 is going to be implemented in coming days, my vision is to improve the standing of my working Institution and the Department as a top-tier teaching and research institution, as envisioned in NEP 2020, which is already known for its innovation, excellence, and discovery and draws the best students and employees. I aspire to be a part of the Department that would be exceptional in terms of the relevance of its teaching and research, the calibre of its facilities and support, employment chances to students and the learning opportunities and working experience it provides, and the environment in which I may advance as an academic researcher.
