Sanjeev Singh had worked in the area of optical electronics and obtained his Doctorate in Electronics in 1997 from University of Delhi. For the last twenty years, apart from teaching post-graduate course of M.Sc. in Informatics, he is working in the area of networks, security and communication technologies. He had published over 50 research publications in international/national journals and conferences. He has been a visiting fellow to University of Manchester in Science and Technology (UMIST), UK under Commonwealth Fellowship. At present, he is Professor at Institute of Informatics & Communication, University of Delhi South Campus.
He spearheaded an innovative project “Cross Cultural Innovation Network” sponsored by European Commission. He has completed several major research projects sponsored by various government agencies of India. He is on the advisory panel of various learned bodies. He is a member of National IT committee, FICCI. He has been principal coordinator for UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI-I) project. He had conducted various skill based training programs and workshops for faculty development of different Universities and Institution across the country. Prof. Singh has conceptualized and implemented first e-learning and virtual learning frameworks for University of Delhi, where he has been in-charge for ICT and e-learning initiatives. He has conceptualized and implemented ‘Samarth’, an Automation Framework for all the central Universities and HEIs of the country.
He is Network Fellow of Commonwealth Partnership in Technology Management (CPTM), London, UK. He is member of the Innovation cluster and Science & Technology Parks (STPs) forum, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Korea. He is also Fellow of EU-India Cross Cultural Innovation Network. He is a certified professional for development of Science and Technology Parks and Innovation Clusters.
Prof. Singh is also working in the ESDM sector, Electropreneur Park at University of Delhi South Campus, this park is an innovative incubator in the ESDM sector to promote innovations and entrepreneurship. Prof. Singh is chairing a national committee on wearable technology of Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) for the development of standards. His current research interest is Cyber Physical Systems and Security models.
