Dr. Tanu Dang has been working as Professor (on Deputation) at the University School of Mass Communication, GGSIPU Delhi since June 2024.

She is a dedicated researcher, passionate educator and lifelong learner specializing in Development Communication, Advertising, and PR, Prof. Tanu Dang has dedicated the past two decades to the field of higher education. 

Prof. Dang is an avid reader and an active scholar whose work spans both academics and applied communication. She has presented her research at numerous national and international forums and published widely in reputed journals. Her academic contributions include multiple authored books and chapters for leading national and international publishers. She has also developed learning modules, e-content and MOOC quadrants for IGNOU, CEC, Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Digital Library and Karnataka State Open University. Her commitment to responsible media practices is reflected in her certification as a FactShala Trainer under the Internews–DataLeads initiative of Google aimed at strengthening media literacy and combating misinformation.

Prof. Dang was honored with the PR Professional Award in 2017 by the Public Relations Society of India, Lucknow Chapter, PRSI National Award ‘Communication Excellence Honour 2023' and Shikshak Samman (Eminent Teacher Award) by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2021. Prof. Dang has completed an ICSSR-funded Minor Project on Youth Awareness of Government Skilling Schemes and conducted extensive research work under the Centre of Rural Communication and Development established by her at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University through the Centre of Excellence grant received from the Uttar Pradesh Government. Prof. Dang is also a eloquent speaker and panellist. Her expertise has earned her invitations to address diverse audiences at national and international platforms, and she has shared her insights on several television programmes. She is presently also heading the Public Relations Department of GGSIPU as Media Incharge.
