Dr. Neetu Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the University School of Education, GGSIP University and also the convener of Centre for Indian Knowledge System and Technology Innovation (CIKSTI).

Having an experience of almost a decade in teaching, research and industry at higher education level, she completed her Ph.D. in Education from Jamia Milia Islamia. Her research primarily focuses on the online learning strategies and their effectiveness in teacher education. Her core research interest lie in integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Educational Technology (ET) into innovative teaching practices and institutional governance.

Prior to joining GGSIP University, she has served as Assistant Professor at the National Centre for School Leadership, NIEPA, where she contributed to building the capacities of Principals from PM SHRI Schools and KVS at National Level and also led multiple live-streamed episodes on leadership best practices in collaboration with CIET-NCERT. She also has a teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at KIIT College of Education, Gurugram where she has supervised number of post-graduate dissertations. She has also served as a Coordinator of both Senior and Junior Wings of KIIT World School, Gurugram.

She has a track record of leadership and organizational skills, evident from her roles as ICT In-charge, IQAC Coordinator, admission committee member, and coordinator for various events, workshops, regional/ national level consultative meets and initiatives. She is involved as an expert/resource person at NCERT and NCTE in various capacities. Having served in various capacities, including as an Academic Consultant at CIET-NCERT where she has contributed to projects NISHTHA and ICT Curriculum aimed at enhancing teacher education through ICT and ET, she has developed and reviewed e-content for in-service teachers. As an Academic Consultant at NCTE, her contributions involve designing and developing ITEP syllabi and creation and development of self-assessment tools for teachers align with the domains and standards outlined in the NPST Guiding Document, enhancing teachers’ ability to reflect on and improve their practice. She has number of publications in UCG Care and peer-reviewed journals, chapter in books and has presented her research at prestigious national and international conferences. She continues to guide Ph.d and M.Ed. researchers. She is a recipient of a Gold Medal in M.Ed. Programme and the distinguished “Chhatra-Vibhushan” Award. She has conducted numerous workshops and capacity building sessions on various educational topics, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Additionally, she has designed innovative teaching materials such as ICT Modules (Induction and Refresher) for teachers, online bulletins and brochures. Her areas of interest include ICT/ET, Indian Knowledge System, Educational Research, Curriculum Development, Guidance and Counselling, Leadership, Administration and Management in Education, eContent Development and Capacity Development of in-service and pre-service teachers.
