The research interests of our laboratory include gene expression and regulation in eukaryotic cells as well as functional genomics. Wide array of approaches are employed to identify conserved and new components of different cellular machineries regulating biological processes in yeasts and other higher eukaryotic organisms.

Prof. Nimisha Sharma is working as Professor at University School of Bio-Technology, GGSIPU, Delhi. She is also handling Director, Research and Consultancy, GGSIPU Delhi since 2023.
She has done postdoctoral training in Children's National Medical Center, Washington D.C., USA, University of Chicago, USA, and National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, to further hone her skills as a researcher.
She has also been a visiting scientist at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, USA and Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK, where she gained experience in MudPIT technology, microarray technology and many other molecular techniques involved in working with the fission yeast.
