She is also holding additional charge of the founding Director, University Inclusion & Accessibility Cell (UIAC UTTHAAN) and University Grievance Redressal Officer (Disability Matters)
She is a prolific scholar with over 25 years of academic experience in Human Resource Management & Organisational Behavior.
She has authored a book "HR Initiatives in Building Inclusive & Accessible workplaces", Emerald Publishing London, UK. She is the founding editor-in-chief of I&A E-magazine since 2020.
Her Contributions in Disability Awareness and Sensitization of the society through various methods and interventions have been recognized and applauded for making the University stand out for its Inclusive and Accessible culture and actively leading the drive for Disability Inclusion in Higher Education Settings.
She is the Occasional Editor on the Editorial Board of Disability & Society, an internationally reputed Disability Studies journal published by Taylor & Francis.
She represented the University in Beijing +30 Steering Committee for Asia and Pacific for sharing her ideas in the CSO Consultation Theme on 'Boosting Women's Leadership, Representation and Political Participation held in August 2024 in Bangkok.
Dr. Shalini Garg has been Awarded in recognition of exemplary dedication and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of GGSIPU for over Two Decades in 2024. She has also been honoured with the Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar 2024 Award by the Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR).
Dr. Shalini Garg is a distinguished academician, HR expert, and disability advocate with extensive experience in teaching, research, and administrative leadership. Her academic journey spans across undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels, where she has taught various management courses including Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Philosophy of Management, and Strategic HRM. She has actively contributed to curriculum development and authored course modules for distance learning programs. As an editor and reviewer for refereed journals, she maintains scholarly engagement and serves on academic boards and committees.
Outside academia, She is actively engaged in promoting inclusive practices through collaborations with public and private organizations. Her initiatives include launching two batches of Indian sign language courses, founding the University Inclusion & Accessibility e-magazine, and organizing awareness events. Her efforts have received official appreciation from government bodies and invitations to national and international events, highlighting her significant impact in the field of disability inclusion.
