Dr. Anjali Shokeen is an Associate Professor in the University School of Education, GGSIP University. She also worked in the Department of Education (Central Institute of Education) at the University of Delhi. She began her career at GGSIP University and has over 20 years of experience in teaching and mentoring at the Graduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels.
She also worked as Associate Director in the Directorate of Students' Welfare for 4 years and in the Directorate of International Affairs for 2 years at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She has also worked as the UGC Nodal Officer at GGSIP University. She is a member of the core committee for NEP 2020 Implementation at GGSIP University and also a member of the Institutional Ethics Committee.
Her educational achievements have been acknowledged through numerous awards, including the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Memorial National Award, the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award on 5th September 2025, and a Design Patent awarded by the Government of India in January 2025. She received the Best Paper Presentation Award at the International Conference organised by Punjab University in collaboration with Curtin University, Perth, in 2024, and the Best Paper Award from BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women in 2023. She was honoured with the International Education Award in 2020 for her contributions to Student development. On 15th August 2021, she received the Covid Warrior Award from GGSIP University for her selfless community service.
She has served on various committees at GGSIPU, NIOS, NCTE, NCERT, Jamia Millia Islamia, SCERT, and Delhi University. She has been a member of the committee constituted by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to develop the Bluebook Handbook for the National Mission for Mentoring. She has also been involved in implementing ULLAS by the Cell for the National Centre for Literacy, NCERT and NCTE. She is a life member of leading academic bodies, including AIAER, IATE, AIU, Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA), and GERA.
She has supervised over eighty M.Ed. dissertations, and six PhD scholars have received their degrees under her guidance. She has published extensively in reputable national and international journals with more than 60 papers. She authored three books titled "Bridging Tradition and Practice: A Handbook of IKS Integration in Higher Education," "Teaching of Commerce," and “Entrepreneurship Mindset." She also edited two books titled “Happiness and Sustainability: Implications for the Global Goal” and “ICT Practices in Teaching Learning." She regularly contributes to MMTTC programs as a Resource Person and Speaker, and as a Session Chair for seminars, conferences, and FDPs. She has presented research papers at National and International conferences in India and abroad.
She has visited universities abroad, including the University of Malaya, the University of Salamanca, King Mongkut's University of Technology, the University of Barcelona, and many others. She has chaired technical sessions at international conferences at the University of Salamanca, Spain.
She has also completed five research projects sponsored by ICSSR, MGNCRE, Hyderabad (Ministry of Education) and GGSIP University, Delhi. She has developed e-Content for the Central University of Punjab, NIOS, IUCTE, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and NCTE. She has been invited to participate in various capacities in professional development programmes at the institutional and university levels. A dedicated scholar and mentor, she continues to inspire future educators and drive innovation in teacher education through her commitment to academic excellence and global engagement.
