Dr. Nanki is an Asst. Prof. and Prog. Co-ordinator, IxD at USDI, GGSIPU-EDC, New Delhi. She served as a faculty at Design, IIT Guwahati and NID-A. She was an Associate Prof. MIT-WPU Pune.

In 10 years, 4 months of work exp., she has 9 years, 10 months of teaching exp. & guided 114 student projects (B.Des, M.Des & sem. projects) till date. She has 3 Ph.D. scholars under her independent guidance at USDI.

She did her M.Des,NID-A and Ph.D. from IDC School of Design, IITB.

She was Vice Activity Chairperson, R&D, NID-A; Project Associate with IDS, NID in 2008. She is invited for guest sessions & juries at Design, IIT Delhi; Textile Design, NID; Design, SPA-B and Design, DTU. She was VF at IICD, Jaipur; VID, Pune and USDI.

She is co-ordinating Outreach Cell, Placements; is member of IPR ; member-Board of Studies; Link Officer: 3D-Printing Lab & NSS PO, USDI; member of Global Rankings Collaboration Cell (GRCC), Innovation & Incubation Cell (IIC) & Joint Assessment Committee (JAC) at IPU.

She has 8 Peer-reviewed Journal articles and 30+ papers in refereed national and int. confs. from 2009 till date. She formed SEED Research Grant scheme, research colloquium, organized invited talks & conducted design workshops at IITG, IITD, DTU, NID B'luru, DAAP, Univ. of Cincinnati and USDI. She has been editorial board member for peer-reviewed The Int. Journal of Visual Design, USA; Cultural Syndrome, Indonesia, SA:CE: Springer Journal and The USAP Journal, IPU; reviewed e-book proposal in AI Design with Bentham Science Publishers. She has reviewed for INSIGHT’18, ICoRD’19, ICoRD’21, ICoRD’23, ICoRD’25, HWWE 2021 and FDE 2024. Was review co-ordinator for ‘Architecture & Design’ theme papers & Org. Secretary for 8th ICAPIE 2024. She mentored for DesignXSocial Innovation Challenge 2020 and received recognition in the 30 finalist projects. She mentored USDI team and got 4th position in the Smart Delhi Ideathon 2025, Delhi. A publication with her PhD Scholar received ‘Best Paper Presentation Award’ at Connect 360: Sustainability and Innovation Incorporating Indian Knowledge Systems’ Int. Conf. in April 2025, by KRM Univ. with JMI, New Delhi. Her consultancy projects: logos for NITSKM, Assam; CDRI for NDMA and USDI. Designed 25th Year logo of GGSIPU in 2023-24. Designed research-led works for a DIC (MHRD) funded project in packaging, IITG. Her poster on Gurmukhi Script got recognition at ‘Merajut Indonesia 2022’ in collab with .id, UNESCO, STMM, KOMINFO. She developed DT & I course curriculum, tasks for Std. XI school children under NEP 2020 by the Innovation Cell, MoE, MHRD.
