Dr. Kriti Batra is a distinguished Professor of Physics in University School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She is a PhD in Physics from Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi, (2005).

A leading expert in theoretical atomic, molecular, and condensed matter physics, her research uses molecular modeling and spectroscopy, specifically Density Functional Theory (DFT), to explore the electronic and optical properties of materials. Dr. Batra has authored various publications in international journals, focusing on areas like optoelectronics, quantum heterostructures, and the effect of external fields on low-dimensional systems. Beyond her research, she is a certified Innovation Ambassador and an esteemed reviewer for several prestigious journals, including those from Elsevier and Springer Nature. With over two decades of teaching experience, she has mentored PhD,   M.Tech, and B.Tech students.

She has been teaching at UG, PG and PhD level and has a teaching experience of 22 years.  She is a part of various important committees of the University. She is instrumental in setting up Physics Lab and Electronics Lab at GGSIPU EDC. She is presently posted at USAR, GGSIPU, EDC and is the coordinator of B.Tech (AIDS).

She has also worked as lecturer in HansRaj College and Kirori Mal College Delhi University before joining here. She has guided two PhD students in DFT studies of molecular systems using specialized packages like Gaussian, Gauss View, VASP   etc. Her other interests include embedded systems, electronic device designing etc. She is life member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers and Vijanna Bharti.
