Prof. Gulshan Kumar is working as a Professor in Chemistry at the University School of Basic and Applied Science, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi. 

His academic work focuses on materials chemistry, polymer composites, nanomaterials, and biodegradable composite materials.

He has guided Ph.D. scholars and research projects in areas related to polymer-based materials, nanocomposites, and environmentally sustainable materials. His research has been published in reputed international journals dealing with polymer science, nanotechnology, and composite materials.

Prof. Kumar has been involved in academic activities such as curriculum development, research supervision, and participation in conferences and seminars, contributing to the advancement of basic and applied sciences education at GGSIPU. 

Prof. Gulshan Kumar is holding the position of Controller of Examination of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University since 2022.
