Dr. Yogendra Bhardwaj is an academician, researcher, and educator specializing in Sanskrit, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Ayurveda, Hindu Studies, and Vedic Knowledge Traditions. He obtained his Ph.D. in Sanskrit from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where his doctoral research explored the application of the Ayurvedic concept of Pañcamahābhūta to environmental sustainability and planetary health. His scholarship is dedicated to reinterpreting India's classical knowledge traditions through rigorous interdisciplinary research, connecting ancient wisdom with contemporary global concerns such as sustainable development, ecology, education, and human well-being.

Dr. Bhardwaj has authored a scholarly book and published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals, including UGC-CARE listed publications. His research contributions encompass Ayurveda, Vedic philosophy, Indian Knowledge Systems, cultural studies, environmental ethics, and Sanskrit literature. He has presented research papers and delivered invited lectures at prestigious academic institutions and international conferences in India, the United States, and Japan, fostering global academic dialogue on Indic knowledge traditions.

Prior to joining Central Sanskrit University, he served as a faculty member at Jawaharlal Nehru University and the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi, where he contributed significantly to teaching, curriculum development, teacher training, and academic administration. He has also served as a Master Trainer for Sanskrit teachers and has actively participated in national academic initiatives promoting Indian languages and knowledge systems.

His current research focuses on the integration of Ayurveda, Sanskrit textual traditions, environmental humanities, and Indian Knowledge Systems with contemporary scientific and policy discourses. Through his teaching and research, Dr. Bhardwaj seeks to advance evidence-based scholarship that demonstrates the continuing relevance of India's intellectual heritage in addressing global challenges.
