Dr. Singh is an Associate Professor -Horticulture in the Department of Agriculture, School of Agriculture and Development, Central University of South Bihar. He has more than 11 years of experience in teaching, research, agricultural extension, technology dissemination, and institutional development. Prior to joining CUSB, he served as a Scientist- Horticulture, BAU, Sabour (2015–2023), and as District Scientist, Department of Agriculture, GoB, (2019–2023). His research interests include vegetable crop improvement, exotic fruit production, climate-resilient horticulture, integrated farming systems, protected cultivation, sustainable production technologies, and micropropagation. His major scientific contributions include pioneering Kamalam in Bihar, developing the Guava Twisting Technique for crop regulation, standardizing an efficient micropropagation protocol for pineapple, identifying 11 stable bottle gourd genotypes and hybrids for varietal development, and contributing to the development and release of two rice varieties. He has successfully implemented 14 externally funded and institutional research and extension projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator. Dr. Singh has published over 40 research papers, 7 books, 48 book chapters, 12 newsletters, 5 popular articles, and 26 extension bulletins and leaflets in English and Hindi. He has presented his research at more than 28 national and international conferences, seminars, and symposia.
