Bio Note

He specializes in the Philosophy of Mind and Language, and Cognitive Science, and enjoys teaching Philosophy, Modal Logic, and Cognitive Science.

His current research focuses on mental representations (in perception, cognition, and the language of thought), along with theories of explanation, understanding, and the cognitive interrelations between mind and world.

Among the new and up-to-date courses (2025) he has designed and developed are the following: Topics in Indian Philosophy: Contemporary Reflections, Rationality and Statistical Understanding, Concepts and Language of Thought, Explanation and Representation in Cognitive Science, and (proposed) Current Topics in Cognition, Computation, and Culture.

He maintains a regular presence on campus on most days, particularly during the morning and evening hours, in addition to his scheduled classes and discussion sessions, and is available for academic consultation by appointment. 

Reading Group

PC-LoT Reading Group 2026 June-December

As part of our regular reading group on themes in cognitive science, we will host a series of pre-reading discussion sessions in the upcoming semester. These sessions (June-December) will focus on classic, foundational, and recent articles on perception, cognition, the language of thought, and machine intelligence. The sessions are open to all interested participants.
