Unveiling the molecular basis of altered immune response in Drosophila model of Huntington’s disease and its management by curcumin. Minor 2022 Although primarily classified as a neurodegenerative disease, Huntington’s disease is now being recognized as a systemic disorder, with no known cure or effective therapy till date. With a better understanding, it is evident that wide range of non-neuronal comorbidities seem to contribute to HD pathogenesis and suffering of HD patients. Present study highlights involvement of immune dysregulation in HD and its contribution in disease symptoms and progression.
