Dr. Purushottam Kumar Arya is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and as Deputy Dean, Foreign Students’ Registry, University of Delhi. With more than a decade of teaching, research, and academic administration experience, he has made significant contributions in the areas of Finance, Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, Data Analysis, Financial Markets, and Indian Knowledge Systems.  Dr. Arya earned his Doctor of Philosophy from the Faculty of Management Studies and has developed a strong interdisciplinary research profile with publications in reputed ABDC, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals. His scholarly work spans diverse themes including ESG and corporate finance, IPO performance, financial inclusion, digital finance, gender diversity in corporate governance, environmental consciousness, artificial intelligence, inflation dynamics, and sustainable economic development. His research has appeared in internationally recognized journals such as the Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Indian Business Research, and Investment Management and Financial Innovations. Beyond conventional finance and management research, Dr. Arya has actively explored emerging domains such as artificial intelligence in banking and education, UPI-driven financial transformation, and technology-enabled environmental monitoring systems. His thought leadership has also been featured in prominent media platforms including Financial Express and Gaon Junction, reflecting his ability to bridge academic scholarship with contemporary policy and industry discourse. As a dedicated researcher and innovator, Dr. Arya holds several Indian design patents, including innovations related to smart wearable technologies, intelligent attendance systems, and temperature-controlled consumer products. He has also contributed extensively to academic publishing as editor and author of multiple books and book chapters in the domains of business finance, consumer behaviour, stock market analysis, financial inclusion, and artificial intelligence. In addition to his academic and research achievements, Dr. Arya has played an active role in faculty development, institutional capacity building, and higher education training initiatives. He has organized and contributed to numerous Refresher Courses, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), Orientation Programmes, workshops, MOOCs, and interdisciplinary academic conferences under the aegis of the Teaching Learning Centre, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
