Professor Aradhana Srivastava has obtained her B.Tech.(Chemical Technology) degree from HBTU Kanpur; M.Tech.(Chemical Engg.) from IIT Kanpur; PhD from Department of Biochemical Engg. & Biotechnology of IIT Delhi, and Postdoctoral research from Biocentrum, Institute of Biotechnology, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark. Priior to joining GGSIPU, She worked as teaching faculty at Department of Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology, IIT Delhi from December 1999 to January 2007; School of Life Science and Chemical Technology, NgeeAnn Singapore from February2007 to July 2008; and Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus from August 2008 to December 2012. At GGSIPU, she joined 'School of Chemical Technology' in September 2013 and continuing till date.
Her postdoctoral research had earned granted patents on “Method for production of heterologous polypeptides in transformed yeast Cells” at DE, US, JP, AT, AU, EU, and WO, which covers innovative bioprocess Engineering utilizing basics of biological Sciences. During her evolving teaching and research journey, she had successfully guided 4 PhD thesis and 28 M.Tech. thesis projects covering the areas of Bioprocess Engineering, Fermentation Technology, Yeast Expression systems, Metabolic Engg., and the Downstream processing. Her research produced around 90 research papers publication in international/National peer reviewed journals/conferences and patents, 1 new gene sequence added to NCBI, covering research areas of Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology. She has also produced an Indian patent on “A method and composition for the production of human interferon alpha2B in P.pastoris” which covers Cloning, Expression and High-level production in fed-batch bioreactor. She completed many research and industrial consultancy projects. Her current research work is focussing on Biodiesel and biofuels production using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation. Her major innovative achievement in present research are: bioremediation via acclimatization, and the homologous and heterologous enzymes production via developed induction method.
She is a founder member of Biological Engg. Society, India; and life member of Biotechnology Research Society, India.
