He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the University School of Automation & Robotics (USAR), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi Campus, since November 2, 2022.

Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University from July 2014 to November 2022. He has also held academic positions as a Lecturer at G.B. Pant Engineering College, Ghurdauri, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, and as an Assistant Professor at Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Dr. Ravi Butola obtained his B.Tech degree from the College of Technology, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. He earned his Master’s degree in Production Engineering and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Delhi.

Dr. Butola is actively engaged in teaching and research, with 12 years of academic experience. He has published over 50 research papers in reputed international journals indexed in SCI, SCIE, ESCI, and SCOPUS, as well as in various conference proceedings, and has contributed six book chapters. He is currently supervising one Ph.D. scholar and has successfully guided six M.Tech students. In recognition of his research contributions, he received the Commendable Research Award from Delhi Technological University in 2020, 2021, and 2022. His research interests include Advanced Manufacturing Processes, 3D Printing, and Robotics.
