Professor Manpreet Kaur Kang is a Ph.D. in English from Panjab University and has been teaching at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University since 2005. She is also the current Director, Student's Welfare, GGSIPU . 

She specializes in American Literature, Gender Studies, and Writing of
the Indian Diaspora and has been teaching and guiding research in these areas. She has about
32 years of teaching experience and has four books and thirty research papers to her credit.
She is the past President of IASA (International American Studies Association)
2019-21 and the Secretary of MELOW (The Society for the Study of the Multi-Ethnic
Literatures of the World). She is the Editor of MEJO: The MELOW Journal of World
Literature, an annual peer-reviewed journal that is brought out by MELOW. She has been the
Editor of Indraprasth: An International Journal of Culture and Communication Studies,
brought out by the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University for many years. She was a Shastri Fellow at UBC, Canada. Among her books, Seeking a
Female Identity: Adrienne Rich and Anne Sexton, and a translated (jointly) book of poems
from Punjabi to English titled The Aftermath are noteworthy.
