Materials for Energy & Electronics Research Laboratory (MEEL)
The Materials for Energy & Electronics Research Laboratory (MEEL) at the Department of Physics, Pondicherry University, focuses on experimental condensed-matter physics, with an emphasis on functional nanomaterials for energy and electronic applications. Our research includes the design, synthesis, and engineering of advanced materials, particularly functional oxides, high-entropy systems, and nanoscale architectures for energy conversion, storage, sensing, and electronic devices. Current thrust areas span electrocatalysis and water splitting, energy materials, chemical and biosensors, nanoelectronics, and memristive and neuromorphic devices, with the aim of translating fundamental materials science into scalable, real-world technologies.
